The idea was fueled because of the overwhelming benefits of bocce. Bocce has been around, in various forms, for over 5,000 years. Bocce is social, active, generational, easy-to-learn and provides a forum for camaraderie and competition.
BocceNation.com recognized an opportunity as bocce has no standardized court size, scoring system or national organized play. There are pockets of "old school" bocce enthusiasts but currently only about 200 bocce facilities in the United States.
BocceNation.com spent several months and substantial capital in developing its revolutionary bocce product, Bocce-in-a-Bag™. Bocce-in-a-Bag™ is a complete bocce system featuring a portable court, bocce balls, streamlined scoring and rules, a unique measuring device in a portable, stylish carrying case.
Bocce-in-a-Bag™ enables end users to play organized and simplified bocce virtually anywhere, providing BocceNation.com instant access to dozens of potential markets and users.
This unique product, coupled with established event and league programming gives BocceNation.com the further ability to capitalize on the Bocce-in-a-Bag™ product in the form of bocce events, bocce fundraising opportunities and a nationwide league system with its American Bocce League program.
BocceNation.com is headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. with a base staff of 5 people plus interns through programs with Florida State University and Northwood University. The office has a favorable, flexible and expandable month-to-month lease situation. Inventory is stored with a distribution company based in California, to take advantage of lower shipping and inventory costs.
Within just a few months BocceNation.com has received favorable exposure with press coverage including ESPN.com, Corporate Meetings and Incentives, BizBash, Tailgating Industry Association and several web reviews. Product and play test reviews have been overwhelming favorable.
